Update September 21, 2006

Not much has changed since the last update, except that we are now being told that the final decision on the retention pond probably won't be made until November, if not later.  At the public meeting on September 14, Bedside Manor was still shown on the map as the site of the pond, but we have been told that that is not final.  The state doesn't have any good alternatives, unfortunately, but they seem to be trying to find one.  There is a public comment period at this time, until September 27, and we are hoping that many of our supporters will send in their comments to the WSDOT.  The email address for comments is Allison.Ray@i405.wsdot.wa.gov , so if you have an opinion about the project, that is the place to send your comments.
